Hello, I'm Zichong Wang, currently a third-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Florida International University. I'm privileged to be under the supervision of Dr. Wenbin Zhang, whose insights have greatly enriched my research journey.
The focus of my research is to identify and mitigate the disparities that occur when the interaction of algorithms, data employed in policy formulation, and human decisions inadvertently impact underrepresented communities. My goal is to ensure that these systems are both fair and accountable, providing benefit to all and harm to none.
My research interests span machine learning and graph mining, with a focus on trustworthy AI, including generalization, explanation, fairness, and robustness. I am also interested in causal machine learning, and recently large language models.
